Take Air Mattress

Take Air Mattress

Air Mattress, Air Bed that’s what we needed a few pieces of cutlery, some Pots and Pans and there we went off to our new apartment. While in college my friend left an Air Mattress when he visited, we thought it may become handy at some point so we kept it locked away in a closet. What we did not know it would change our lives.

The Air Mattress became a fairly useful gadget in our apartment over time, when sofas wasn’t enough for overnight accommodation our friends Air Bed or Air Mattress always came through not just for us but the apartments next door down stairs and upstairs.

The college Air Mattress interest discovery spread through the campus and soon we found out Air mattress and Air Beds were a growing convenience that’s making friends bringing families together and saving people lots of money. During a discussion after a visit by a student’s parents, Matt thought that the weekend he spent with his parents in his apartment on campus made him see his parents different. Matt’s parents bought a Queen size Raised Air Mattress with Built in Pump for the trip. The Air Mattress as was explained cost less than one hotel night stay, Matt’s mother cooked in his apartment all weekend while he and his father spent quality time together time he thought was invaluable.

As the popularity of Blow up Beds increases more students became aware of the cost saving and convenience they afford so did the number of Queen Air Mattress on campus.   Students will always be sophisticated so as we became aware of the more exotic Air Beds and Raised Air Mattress the more trendy they became. As the recession spread and parents disposable income depleted, parents were encouraged to invest in Air mattress. Parents started covering their noses and staying overnight in student dorms and apartments as away of saving money. The Air Bed idea continued its trendy growth path when taking air bed on a weekend visit to a relative became acceptable. Families and weekend visitors were discovering the social and economic benefits to having an air Mattress and their visitors in their homes for longer periods of time.

Air Mattress is no longer new I discovered them while in college they have become more a necessity today. When I left college my girlfriend and I knew the last thing we needed was a conventional bed. We had a Queen Size Air Bed a couple Pot and Pans a Refrigerator in our Apartment. I still take a Double Air Bed in my Truck.

Air Mattress For Camping

Air Mattress For Camping

An Air Mattress, also known as an airbed is an inflatable mattress, the wide majority of which are usually made of PVC vinyl plastic although recently developed textile-reinforced urethane plastic or rubber versions exist. The deflated mattress can be rolled up or folded and carried or stored relatively easily, making them a popular choice for camping trips and for temporary bedding at home for guests. They are inflated either orally by blowing into a, or with a manual foot-powered or more commonly inflated via an electric pump. Some are even automatically inflating (up to a certain pressure - some additional inflation is also needed) just by opening the valve and available at raisedblowupbed.com

The three main categories for use of air mattresses are camping, temporary home use (guests) and full time permanent use (in the bedroom). Some air mattresses are specifically designed to perform both functions (camping and guest use) while others are specifically designed for one purpose alone (permanent use in the home or RV). Other air mattresses are designed in shapes with wheel well cut outs specifically intended for use in vehicles such as pickup trucks or SUV's.

Lightweight, reduced-size and reduced-thickness air mattresses specifically intended for camping and backpacking are sometimes called sleeping pads, especially when a layer of foam insulation is added under the air chambers. Better quality air chambers, that are designed for permanent use in the home, are constructed of vulcanized rubber, covered in canvas or of polyurethane. These chamber(s) are then installed into a cloth shell or tic. Permanent air beds will look almost like conventional beds with the exception of having a hose (1 air chamber) or hoses (2 air chambers) coming out of the head of the bed. These hoses will be connected to an Air Inflator, with 2 outlet valves, that will have a remote control(s) so that each person can adjust the firmness of their side to ones own exact needs. The firmness can be adjusted up or down, with the simple push of a button, on the remote(s).

Caution

Some government safety agencies have warned against letting infants sleep on air mattresses, because they can be too soft and suffocate smaller children (especially those below the age of 8 months) within folds or while entrapped between the mattress and the bed case. Additionally there have been several recent governmental studies and regulations enacted due to the poisonous nature of the phthalates and dioxins contained within all vinyl air beds and other soft vinyl products. The European Union has made similar efforts to prevent the use of vinyl materials in toys and bedding raisedblowupbed.com

Official Rules of the Game of Horseshoes

Official Rules of the Game of Horseshoes

Official Rules of the Game of Horseshoes from the NHPA

The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA), the recognized governing body of the sport of horseshoe pitching in the United States, maintains an up-to-date set of rules, guidelines and specifications for the game on their website.Widely accepted as being the official way to play the game, they outline the style of play, the two most common scoring methods (cancellation and count-all), acceptable equipment, and exact court specifications as well as additional methods of organizing tournament and league competitions.

There are other entities that have their own versions of the game and sanction their own events, but the largest recognized volume of sanctioned tournaments and leagues (by far) are those of the NHPA. These are also known to some people as good luck charms.

 BOH Cup style of play

The game begins with a Horseshoes Set to decide who goes first. The winner of the toss throws both horseshoes—one at a time—at the opposite stake, and then the second player throws both of their horseshoes again, one at a time at their end. After scoring, the next round is done in reverse order, or by throwing back at the original stake. Play continues until one player has at least 15 points at the end of a round. NHPA sanctioned games are generally played to 40 points, or a shoe limit of 40 or 50 shoes. The horseshoes-in family friendly games-can be made of either plastic or metal.

Horseshoe Pit Dimensions

Horseshoe pitching is played on a court 50 ft (15.24 m) long and 10 ft (3.05 m) wide. Iron stakes extending 14 in. (35.56 cm) above the ground are planted 40 ft (12.19 m) apart. The horseshoe, a U-shaped plate, usually of iron or steel, must not weigh more than 40 oz (1134 g).

Basic Rules of Horseshoe Pitching

A popular sport in the US and Canada, horse pitching essential feature is the tossing or throwing of a horseshoe at a pin, peg, or stake. A game for two or four players, horse pitching main object is to ring the pin or throw the horseshoe as close to the pin as possible. Each player stands at one stake and throws two horseshoes at the other stake. A horseshoe encircling the stake is called a ringer and counts for the highest score. A ringer is made when the thrown horseshoe encloses the stake; it counts three points in scoring.

The rules of horseshoes allow one point if no player throws a ringer, for the shoe closest to the stake as long as it is within the width of a shoe itself. Regulation games are played to a winning score of 50, while informal games are played up to 21.
